Time to Connect the Dots
Business with Divine Intelligence
I have been thinking about abundance lately - not simply as more money or growth, but as the feeling that who we are and what we build are moving in the same direction.
For too long, business and spirituality have been treated as though they belong in different rooms. One speaks through strategy, turnover and success; the other through intuition, healing, energy and the wisdom of the body. One is considered practical, while the other is expected to remain private and unspeakable.
I think it is time to connect the dots.
The conventional route is narrow: build, bootstrapping, squeeze life out of your self, rise investment, compromise the products, scale, increase turnover, chaise, enter retailers, sell. This thinking has spread into the world of small consumer brands, where teams can become so focused on producing more that they stop asking whether more is actually needed. Or, in many cases, it is too late to ask the question at all - because by then the situation is simply grow or die.
I support ambition or expansion, but growth is not automatically meaningful simply because it can be measured.
“The unexamined life is not worth living.”
The better question is not only whether we can do, start or grow something, but why we are doing it. Is the direction still right? Is the work useful? Does it support the people involved, or has everyone gradually begun serving the business instead? It is aligned with our inner world?
I did not learn business through a corporate career of financial school. I learned by creating spaces, brands and products, attracting customers, entering retail, leading people, making mistakes, losing, rebuilding and living with the consequences of my decisions.
Only in recent years did I recognise that commercial logic had never guided me alone. Intuition, timing and a deeper form of knowing had always been there, long before I had the language to describe them. Now I work with that intelligence deliberately.
This is what I mean by working with Divine Intelligence.
Spirituality does not replace planning, commercial knowledge or continued learning. We do not need to exchange the business plan for a crystal ball, but we do need to admit that a conventional approach to business only, cannot answer every question in the world we are in. There is a higher source if information available to us, that has no logic, its not visible, its not measurable, but its powerful.
Inner work - through bodywork, breathwork, family constellations, kinesiology, meditation, intuitive guidance and so much more - can guide us, and reveal what sits beneath our decisions. It can show us when ambition is driven by fear, when persistence has become self-abandonment, or when an impressive opportunity does not truly belong to us.
“Work is love made visible.”
When practical and spiritual intelligence work together, abundance becomes personal, tailored specifically for you. For one woman, it may mean building a large company and creating substantial wealth. For another, it may mean keeping her business smaller, profitable and human. It may mean changing direction, creating several connected strands of work, selling, pausing or moving beyond the business entirely.
The business may grow, or the woman may grow beyond it. Both can be success.
And what does this bring? A sense of contentment. Peace inside. The loosening of anxiety, of anger, of the feeling of not being enough. These are only a few of the gifts.
Perhaps this is what it means to become a lightworker through our work. It is not about looking spiritual; it is about bringing more consciousness into what we do, what we create, how we lead, and what we contribute - to the world, and to ourselves.
“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience.”
This understanding now sits at the heart of the guidance I do for women who are building something, questioning what they have built, or sensing another direction beneath the noise.
If you recognise yourself in any of this - if you are building something and sensing that the outer work and the inner work can no longer stay in separate rooms I would be glad to hear from you. This is precisely the work I do, one to one, with women ready to bring both worlds together.
Abundance is not a standard business model. It is the point at which who we are, what we create and how we live begin to belong together.
It is time to connect the dots.
With love,
